Tips & Tricks

  • Prepare to type accents/special characters for your language by opening a language keyboard in another tab. You can type the accented character you need then copy/paste into your Adobe Spark video.
  • Plan a Storyboard for each section - what will you say? What images will you need to  accompany your words?
  • You will be able to search for images and icons from within the Adobe Spark application. If you want to use your own images, upload them to your Google Drive.
  • Click “new” --> “File upload” Screen Shot 2014-11-21 at 7.15.04 AM.png

  • Choose the image to upload

  • Make sure the “convert” buttons are turned off Screen Shot 2014-10-17 at 11.42.19 AM.png

  • IMPORTANT - you should UPLOAD the pictures as images, not paste them into a Drive Document or a Presentation. You will need to download these images to the Chromebooks in the library

  1. For a Storyboard - for each slide, write down exactly what you will say, and what image will go with it. Proofread your vocabulary and grammar and practice your pronunciation.

  2. Print your script and PRACTICE. A suggestion - print the script in a very large font, it's easier to read.

How to Submit Your Project

When your project is finished:

  1. Click Share (at top)
  2. Give project a title and subtitle
  3. Pick a category -- Education
  4. Create a link (at bottom)
  5. Wait until the link is generated!
  6. Then copy link, log into Schoology and find the assignment to submit the link -- this is the most typical submission scenario - your mileage may vary.

If you do any additional editing, you must generate a new link following the steps above and resubmit.

Here's a video that walks you through the steps:

Teachers: If you are Schoology users, the easiest way to receive assignments from students is to create an assignment in Schoology (you can even create a rubric for grading!)

Students: If your teacher asks you to submit via Schoology, find the assignment in your course, click on it, the click on the Create tab at the top of the box that pops up. Paste the link from Adobe Spark into the box. Click submit at the bottom of the box.
