Students taking Sophomore Global honors should read: 1984,by George Orwell.

Students taking Sophomore New Media Communities should listen to ONE of the following podcast series:
a) Serial, season one (true crime, murder mystery)
b) Mogul (History of Hip-Hop)
c) Gladiator (Aaron Hernandez story)
d) Last Seen (Boston art heist)
e) You Must Remember This: Charles Manson's Hollywood (movies and cults)
f)  OR...read Born a Crime by Trevor Noah

 

All other incoming sophomores should read: Born a Crime, by Trevor Noah.

All incoming juniors whose class is not specifically listed below should read Educated, by Tara Westover. 
 
Students taking Junior New Media Communities, watch and read:
a) When They See Us (Netflix series)
b) Central Park Five (Ken Burns Documentary)
c) HONORS ONLY: Ta-Nehisi Coates, "The Case For Reparations" (The Atlantic)

 

Students taking Junior Honors, please read Goodbye, Columbus by Philip Roth (just the title novella)

 

Students taking Juniors Global Honors, please read Passing by Nella Larsen.
